SynMob SmartCities
Extended SynMob to generate synthetic GPS trajectories for Los Angeles and validated their use for congestion detection and traffic optimization.
I’m Ashif, recent M.S. in Computer Science from Florida State University, with about five years of hands-on software engineering across frontend, backend, and cloud. I love the craft of shipping interfaces that feel effortless while being engineered for reliability and performance. I learn fast, and move teams toward a shared goal.
Most recently at BigCommerce, I worked as an Integration Engineer connecting external platforms with internal AWS systems. I built and hardened data exchanges and syncs. That experience also sharpened my Agile instincts: clear tickets, tight feedback loops in Jira, and crisp comms with CRM, security, and platform teams.
Before that I shipped production code on Dell’s subscriptions platform, where micro-frontend architecture taught me a lot about isolation, reliability, performance, and writing scalable code. At Amantya Technologies, our telecom product (NetPrizm) rendered 5G towers and user equipment at city scale. I partnered with the team to optimize bundling, lean on animation strategies, and add MongoDB indexing to keep performance smooth as we scaled.
Outside work, I recharge with calisthenics and jiu-jitsu, and I’m endlessly curious about space and physics.
Led end-to-end integrations between Salesforce and internal platforms. Built a daily ETL for ~150k records that cut refresh time ~70% and stabilized retries. Delivered bidirectional instance sync to keep data in parity across environments, with guardrails for schema drift and backfills. Added dashboards, alarms, and runbooks so ops could self-serve. Partnered with CRM and security to productionize access, secrets, and audit trails.
Shipped customer-facing microfrontend components that boosted feature engagement ~40%. Took on RCA for 10+ issues and closed fixes within the sprint, improving stability and cutting regressions with a focused test strategy.
Delivered data-intensive applications processing telecom tower signals and alerts. Reworked slow endpoints and background jobs, reducing p95 response times ~60% and lowering integration latency ~40% via event-driven flows. Tuned queries and indexes for measurable DB gains (~30%). Drove auth hardening and service boundaries to keep multi-tenant workloads predictable at scale.
Built data-heavy visualizations for millions of points and incorporated accessibility feedback, improving usability ~15% for key workflows.
Owned high-throughput APIs with a robust auth model and a test suite reaching ~95% coverage, cutting bug rates and keeping releases steady.

Sharded file-management system improving data availability and secure transactions with a React/Express/MongoDB stack.
Recipe recommendations from on-hand ingredients with dietary/cuisine filters, saved recipes, reviews, and shopping lists.
Big-data visualization pages using React + Apache ECharts with filtering, dataset joins, dashboards, and theming.
Front-end for simulating 5G towers and user equipment; maps, performance visualization, and analytics.
Platform to run multi-event college tech marathon; handled 2K+ users, auto result generation, and CI/CD.
A lightweight React app that turns any track into a responsive, sine-wave visual. As music plays, a neon “sin line” flexes in real time, creating an immersive, performance-friendly look
